The WKF World Senior Karate Championships were held in Linz, Austria between 26th and 30th October. The MKF was represented at these championships by Emma Grech, who participated in the female kumite -61kg category.

Sensei Josef Antonelli attended the WKF kumite coaching course and achieved official WKF accreditation as kumite coach.

Also, the MKF president, Mr. Kenneth Abela, was elected treasurer of the Small States of Europe Karate Federation, at a meeting of the executive committee held during this event.
