Joelle Farrugia and Sean Micallef took part in COJI 2018 championships which were held in Sicily on Thursday 24th of May 2018 with very good results in both kata (forms) and kumite (sparring). Joelle landed gold in Kumite Female Junior and Sean bronze in Kata Male Cadets. Both athletes, who form part of the Malta Karate Federation were accompanied by National Coach Joseph Mizzi and Technical Consultant Maestro Santo Torre. “The level of performance was of a high standard and results achieved are very encouraging. We wish to thank MOC for this opportunity and for the ongoing support given to MKF”.  This was the comment of Kenneth Abela President of Malta Karate Federation.
